Campus
Situated on 27 acres in the heart of our beautiful city, the Lakeland Christian School campus boasts an exciting environment for learning—and not just in the classroom.
From academics to arts to athletics, students at LCS benefit from outstanding facilities. Located on the corner of Harden Boulevard and Ariana Street, the school is just down the road from the exciting new Lakeside Village, our city’s newest center for shopping, entertainment, and dining. We are also located near the historic downtown district, which features several parks, shops, and restaurants.
The current campus, which was established in 1962, has undergone many changes in the last 44 years. What began as six classrooms, an office, and a cafeteria has expanded to include more than 40 classrooms, two computer labs, a cafeteria/auditorium, a science lab, multiple offices, music studios, a band complex, one of Polk County’s largest gymnasiums, athletic fields, and the 24,000-volume Leroy J. and Doris Douglass Library.
A tour of Lakeland Christian School would not be complete without a stroll along the Nature’s Niches tour, which includes visits to Faith’s Forest – a restored nature Florida habitat reserve, the butterfly garden, the waterfall-fed turtle pond, or the macaw habitat. Our facilities also include The Blanton Center -- a recently-built complex which includes a gymnasium, weight room, aerobics room and band facilities.
As more and more families realize the value of a Lakeland Christian School education, the current facilities are quickly maxing out as each school year sees record-breaking enrollment numbers. As the school continues to grow, LCS stands on the brink of a massive expansion and renovation project. This project, which includes plans for a new three-story elementary/middle school building and a new state-of-the-art Science and Technology Center, will allow Lakeland Christian to continue providing the highest quality of education for our students.
