Every student is unique and has different gifts and abilities. Teachers at Lakeland Christian School recognize these individual differences in their students and work hard to help each student reach his or her potential. Our teachers not only challenge and encourage the students, but love the students.
In fact, one of the hallmarks of LCS is the distinctive family atmosphere. Teachers understand the value of the partnership they form with parents in the education of their students.
Whether teaching in the classroom, supervising an extracurricular activity, coaching an athletic team or providing support in the front offices, the faculty and staff of Lakeland Christian School are deeply committed to the students’ educational and spiritual development. Through outstanding teaching and by daily example, this group of Christian men and women desires to help students examine every aspect of life from a biblical perspective.
The LCS faculty comprises skilled professionals who benefit from a variety of educational backgrounds. Teachers are required to maintain current professional certification in their fields and are encouraged to further develop professionally through continued education and membership in educational organizations. Twenty percent of the faculty holds master’s degrees.
Our teachers are committed not only to education, but to Christian education at Lakeland Christian School. Thirty-three percent of the faculty have taught at LCS for ten years or more, and some faculty members were students at LCS before they came back to teach.
