Delta Kappa Gamma – Educator Scholarship Award

Polk senior female students interested in pursuing a career in education may be eligible for this $500 award.  Please see Mrs. Lee for an application before March 26.

Polk Community College Foundation Scholarships

Please visit www.polk.edu/foundation to apply for PCC’s Endowed Scholarships, the Maryly VanLeer-Peck Scholarship, and the Andrew Glenn France Memorial Scholarship.  Students may apply online from March 1 through 5:00 pm on March 28.

Executive Woman’s Golf Association Scholarship

Female athletes with a minimum 2.5 GPA and active in the community may see Mrs. Lee for an application.  The deadline is April 1.

 

Central Florida Ridge Soccer Officials Association

Scholarships valued at $500 are awarded to seniors in the CFRSOA area, a registered United States Soccer Federation Official, and minimum of one year and 20 games experience as a soccer referee.  Please see Mrs. Lee for an application.  The deadline is April 1.

Seminole Club of Polk County 

Students accepted at FSU may apply for this scholarship.  A GPA of 3.3, 1000 SAT or 22 ACT and financial need is required.  Please see Mrs. Lee for an application.  The deadline is April 14.

Martha Clements Scholarship – Church Women United of Lakeland

This scholarship is for a qualified, needy female student.  Please see Mrs. Lee for an application.  The deadline is April 15th.

Johnson Scholarship Foundation

The Johnson Scholarship Foundation is offering two scholarships.  1) To the children of US employees or retirees living in Florida.  The deadline is April 15.  2) To students with disabilities who will attend one of the 11 State Universities.  The deadline is May 15.  Please visit www.jsf.bz for applications.

Gardner Webb University, NC: Junior Scholar Program offers $2,000 to juniors who are in the top 25 percentile of their class, involved in extracurricular activities, and committed to Christian values.  Interested students should see Mrs. Lee before April 22, 2008.           

SAME Tampa Bay Post Scholarship

The Society of American Military Engineers offers two $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors demonstrating an interest in engineering or architectural programs.  A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.  Interested students may see Mrs. Lee for an application.  The deadline is June 15.

Pensacola Christian College Christian Service Scholarship:  A Beka Foundation, Inc., is offering qualified children of full-time Christian workers a scholarship of $4,000 in savings over 4 years.  Please see Mrs. Lee for an application.  The deadline is August 1, 2008.

Savannah College of Art and Design Scholarships 

SCAD offers scholarships to qualifying students with leadership skills, 3.0 GPA, and excel artistically.  For more information visit www.scad.edu/scholarships

Carnegie Mellon University

Several academic scholarships are offered to incoming freshmen that recognize and reward outstanding academic, artistic and personal achievement.  Financial need is not a requirement and scholarships are renewable for eight semesters of undergraduate education.  Please visit http://my.cmu.edu/site/admission/menuitem.18c40008673813c019300710d4a02008/ for more information.

American Legion – Need a Lift?

This 152-page book lists scholarships, grants and loans for which students may qualify for.  It is available on the web at www.needalift.org.

Washington and Lee University

FAPSC 2008 Scholarship

The FAPSC Scholarship Programs range from full tuition to $1,000.  Please see Mrs. Lee in the Guidance office or go to www.FAPSC.org for more information.

University of Dayton Scholarships

The University of Dayton, OH, has many merit- and need-based programs ranging from $20,000 to $100,000.  Please call 800-837-7433 for more information.

Johnson & Wales University (Miami):  Chancellor’s Scholarship Program:  Gives high academic achievers an opportunity to earn renewable scholarships valued from $7,500 to full tuition.

Presidential Scholarship:  Awards $5,000 annually.  Please call 1-800-DIAL-JWU for more information on these scholarships.

University of Iowa Presidential Scholarship

In this competition, 350 outstanding applicants will be named Old Gold Scholars and receive the Old Gold Scholarship worth $12,000 ($3,000 a year for four years).  From the Old Gold Scholars, 20 students will be awarded Presidential Scholarships worth $40,000 ($10,000 a year for four years).  The Presidential Scholars will also receive Old Gold Scholarships, so their total package from this competition will be worth $52,000 ($13,000 a year for four years).
