Middle School
Lakeland Christian School’s Junior High program is comprised of more than 160 students in the 7th and 8th grades. The school provides a caring environment to nurture young adolescents through these formative years. The entire program encourages character development and focuses on biblical principles for building life relationships.
The curriculum reinforces the basics of the elementary program and prepares students for the rigors of high school academics. Math, science, English, social studies, physical education and Bible are taught at each level. Advanced courses in math and science are also offered. Students select electives including band, choir, art and computers.
In addition to academic preparation, students have ample opportunity to participate in co-curricular activities in a variety of sports, music programs, and leadership opportunities such as Junior National Honor Society and student government.
High School
Each student brings unique God-given talents and skills to the school setting. The administration and teachers create an environment which develops, strengthens and applies those talents and skills. A variety of activities in the classroom, on the playing field, in the music hall and in the community enables these students to grow mentally, physically and spiritually.
Although the high school program offers both general and college preparatory diplomas, more than 90% of Lakeland Christian School students choose a college preparatory track. We offer both honors and Advanced Placement courses, and our students consistently score above the national average on college entrance exams and Advanced Placement tests.
Students choose from electives such as computers, art, drafting, home economics, drama, media production, band, chorus and journalism. Our goal is to provide an academically excellent high school curriculum based on a biblical worldview that encourages life-long learning.
