This year our school will be administering the TerraNova (Third Edition) Achievement Test instead of the Stanford Test. This assessment is published by CTB/McGraw-Hill. We are making this change in partnership with ACSI, one of our accreditation agencies, which has worked hard to provide schools with quality testing materials and data. Be assured that the TerraNova 3 is a technically sound and up-to-date assessment program and provides the most recent national comparisons. Out of the three major national achievement tests available, the TerraNova 3 is used by 42% of the schools testing in the United States which is a definitive majority of the testing demographic. It is a complete assessment program which will provide valuable information to you and to your child’s teacher about his/her academic progress. It also becomes a teaching resource for our faculty, allowing us to collect student data that, in turn, helps us make wise decisions in meeting the learning needs of your child.

Testing is scheduled for the second week full week in April. Since achievement testing is such a critical component of our school’s instructional program, we will be working with your child to help them transition to the new test. Please feel free to contact your principal with any questions regarding this change.
