3. Boys and Girls Club of Polk County

Description: This club is an after-school program and an all-day program when schools are closed for girls in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. Help staff with children and activities as needed.

Description: The City has a wide range of opportunities for all ages 14 years and up. They range from helping in the libraries, working as victim’s advocates through the Police Department, to assisting with plantings in Hollis Gardens.

Description: Monthly food distribution to two local senior apartment complexes downtown. This occurs on the last Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. – noon. Additionally, other services are provided on an as-needed basis. These services include yard work, running errands, painting, cleaning, and other odd jobs that our elderly citizens cannot perform by themselves
