Football

"Friday Night Lights” has taken ahold of Lakeland Christian School.  Finishing their second season with a record of 9-1, the Viking Varsity Football team will face tough District competition in its third season.  Coach Tom Laegeler and his Viking team will kick off the 2007 season in the brand-new Viking Stadium. 

 

Volleyball

After winning a second consecutive District championship, the Viking Volleyball team will look to improve upon a 22-2 season and bring home a Regional championship.

 

Cross Country

From August through November, the cross country teams run hundreds of miles in practice and in meets.  These runners, always looking to improve their personal times, remember the importance of team unity as they compete throughout the season.  The girls' team consistently rank high in the city, county, district and regional tournaments.  In 2006, the Lady Vikings ran to a sixth place finish in the State meet and will aim even higher in the 2007 season.

 

Golf

Girls - Competing primarily on an intramural level, the girls? golf team is experiencing a season of building and training as they prepare to play competitively in the near future.

Boys - With new head coach Bill Riley taking the lead, the boys’ golf team will vie for a third consecutive District title and a strong finish in the Regional tournament.

 

Swimming/Diving

With a schedule comprising some of the largest public schools in Polk County, the boys’ swim and dive team consistently proves that it can compete against the best swimmersˇXand win.  Claiming their second consecutive District title in 2006, the girls’ swim and team will aim for a third straight district championship and a trip to the State tournament in 2007.
