Spring Sports
Softball
Wrapping up the 2007 season with a record of 17-4, the girls' softball team will look to clinch a district title in 2008 and another bid to the Regional tournament. FACA 2A District 12 "Coach of the Year" Rand Reese will lead the team again this year.
Baseball
The varsity baseball team finished the 2007 season with a 13-12 record and will look to improve even more in 2008. Coach Blane Fox was named FACA 2A, Dist. 12 "Coach of the Year".
Tennis
Girls - The Viking girls’ tennis team made a strong showing in tournament in 2007, but will look to clinch a District Championship in 2008.
Boys - Claiming third place in the county tournament, the boys’ tennis team ended the 2007 season with a disappointing finish in the District tournament. Coaches Cliff Coleman and Andy Stone will lead the team as they look to improve in 2008.
Track & Field
The track team has seen its share of success throughout the history of LCS. The 2007 season was no exception. Six athletes qualified for State and five school records were broken. Mallory White broke the 800 meter and 1600 meter record, Rebecca Eaves broke the 3200 meter record, Kyle Crouse broke the long jump record, and Laura Kirby broke the pole vault record. Will more records be broken in the 2008 season?
