We provide a variety of rigorous, engaging, academic and co-curricular activities that enable students to identify and express the full range of their unique gifts and abilities.

WHAT LED YOU TO LAKELAND CHRISTIAN SCHOOL?

After my father died suddenly and unexpectedly in 2006, my mother told me that he had always wanted our two daughters at LCS.  When I visited and saw the turtle pond, I knew we were in the right place! I applied for a science position, and both of our daughters had the blessing of a Christian education.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO TEACH IN YOUR CLASS?

I love to teach students to use design thinking to solve problems. We have designed student-owned companies that provide services, products like switch adapted toys for kids with physical disabilities, and experiences for groups ranging from successful professionals to individuals coming out of homelessness. Good design starts with empathy and valuing the user.

WHAT IS ONE FUN FACT THAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU? 

I enjoy the quiet early morning hours and start most days by 4:30 am.
