Lakeland Christian School will present the Tony Award-winning musical comedy Bye Bye Birdie on October 6-8! This musical, set in the 1950s, follows music producer and songwriter Albert Peterson and his secretary Rose Alvarez as they try to salvage their dying music firm, a situation made worse when their star client, rock star Conrad Birdie, is drafted into the army. To generate some publicity and hopefully some money, they host a contest for one lucky Birdie fan to receive a special farewell kiss from Birdie on the Ed Sullivan show before he goes overseas. But when contest winner Kim McAfee’s small town in Ohio is turned upside down by Birdie’s arrival, hilarious hijinks ensue.
Performances will be October 6 and 7 at 7pm and October 8 at 2pm and 7pm. We hope you’ll join us for a fun night of laughs!
