Lakeland Christian School

One of the core values of LCS is the belief that we are partnering with parents in the Christian education of their children. We believe that mutual respect, communication and involvement by all partners is essential for success of our mission.LCS is a school. We believe that being a Christian school and being a top-flight academic institution should not be mutually exclusive. On the contrary, we take the mandate of Colossians 3:23 that calls us to strive to be the best. We provide a variety of rigorous, engaging, academic and co-curricular activities that enable students to identify and express the full range of their unique gifts and abilities.

Extended Family in Christ

The LCS Football Program is an extended family with Christ at the center. The program seeks to foster an organization rooted in God’s word where athletes are taught that their purpose is to glorify God through their gifts and talents. From middle school to varsity, coaches wants players to learn what it means to be a part of a team- to understand that one must sacrifice his personal goals for the better of the team. They hold each player to a high standard of excellence and challenge them to be the best they can each day in the classroom, on the field, and in their walk with Christ.

The acronym G.U.T.S. is a reflection of the program’s coaching philosophy:

Giving more than we receive, whether it’s more of ourselves, thinking about others first, or an internal selflessness

Unity as a team and not emphasizing the individual

Toughness – mentally, physically, and spiritually

Service – intentionally serving others like Christ
