Lakeland Christian School
One of the core values of LCS is the belief that we are partnering with parents in the Christian education of their children. We believe that mutual respect, communication and involvement by all partners is essential for success of our mission.LCS is a school. We believe that being a Christian school and being a top-flight academic institution should not be mutually exclusive. On the contrary, we take the mandate of Colossians 3:23 that calls us to strive to be the best. We provide a variety of rigorous, engaging, academic and co-curricular activities that enable students to identify and express the full range of their unique gifts and abilities.Beloved elementary PE teacher and longtime coach Roger Evans was honored at halftime of the Viking varsity football game on October 27. Coach Evans, who is battling Stage 4 appendix cancer, was joined on the field by his entire family.
In addition to a video tribute, Lakeland Christian School announced plans to build the Roger Evans Athletic Center, which will be located east of the stadium. This facility will house locker rooms, a weight room and other facilities to support the athletic program and other aspects of the school. This is the first step in keeping with the campus facilities initiative in our Always Better Strategic Plan. The plan is to have the building completed by the start of the 2017-2018 school year.
