Lakeland Christian School
One of the core values of LCS is the belief that we are partnering with parents in the Christian education of their children. We believe that mutual respect, communication and involvement by all partners is essential for success of our mission.LCS is a school. We believe that being a Christian school and being a top-flight academic institution should not be mutually exclusive. On the contrary, we take the mandate of Colossians 3:23 that calls us to strive to be the best. We provide a variety of rigorous, engaging, academic and co-curricular activities that enable students to identify and express the full range of their unique gifts and abilities.Attention all parents and student drivers: please pay very close attention when driving around campus and in our parking lots. We have had some close calls in recent weeks. Please be aware of the following:
1. Pedestrians have the right-of-way at the crosswalk on Forest Park Street and in parking lots. The crosswalk on Forest Park Street has flashing lights as a reminder for drivers to stop. If these lights are flashing, cars must stop.
2. If you are heading east on Forest Park Street in the mornings, please be extra cautious due to the glare of the morning sun. Many students, parents and employees cross the street from the gravel parking lot in the mornings.
3. Please do not use your cell phone (for talk or text) while driving through the LCS parking lots. With so many kids around during the drop-off and pick-up times, we ask that you minimize distractions to help ensure the safety of our kids.
