One of the core values of LCS is the belief that we are partnering with parents in the Christian education of their children. We believe that mutual respect, communication and involvement by all partners is essential for success of our mission.LCS is a school. We believe that being a Christian school and being a top-flight academic institution should not be mutually exclusive. On the contrary, we take the mandate of Colossians 3:23 that calls us to strive to be the best. We provide a variety of rigorous, engaging, academic and co-curricular activities that enable students to identify and express the full range of their unique gifts and abilities.
Parents, please be reminded of these important notes from Student Services:
If your secondary student (grades 6-12) checks into school after 8:15 AM, it is considered an absence. The student must have a note (either that day or a subsequent day) or a parent present to check in, or the absence will be considered unexcused.
If you are checking your student out to leave campus, you must bring your photo ID.
We are offering a “contactless” check in/out process for parents. We are utilizing School Dismissal Manager. You are able to access it using the website or app. Each family has a unique login. Once you add an exception for your child, the child will be notified prior to your arrival time and waiting for you in the office. Please pull into the car line in view of Student Services. Your upper elementary or secondary student will be released once you arrive. Lower elementary students will be escorted to your vehicle by a staff member.
If your student is a driver and needs to check out to leave campus, a parent must send an email to Jessica Corrao at jcorrao@locsonline.org or utilize the School Dismissal Manager website or app. If sending an email, please include the student’s name, check-out time, the reason the student is checking out, a parent’s name and the parent’s contact phone number. Students are not allowed to check out to run an errand for themselves or their parents.
Students are not allowed to check out to go home and retrieve a forgotten item. If you are bringing an item to school that your student has forgotten, please tell your child to check with Student Services. If the student does not know the parent is bringing the item, he or she will be notified at the end of a class period, or when the student has a study hall. We do not interrupt class instruction time to deliver a forgotten item to a student.
Students are not allowed to check out or leave campus to go get themselves lunch.
If you know in advance that your student will be absent from school, please send an email to Brittney Medina at bmedina@lcsonline.org with the following information: name of student and grade level, date(s) of absence, explanation of absence, parent’s full name and contact number. Please make sure that your student speaks with his/her teachers regarding any make-up work.
