One of the core values of LCS is the belief that we are partnering with parents in the Christian education of their children. We believe that mutual respect, communication and involvement by all partners is essential for success of our mission.LCS is a school. We believe that being a Christian school and being a top-flight academic institution should not be mutually exclusive. On the contrary, we take the mandate of Colossians 3:23 that calls us to strive to be the best. We provide a variety of rigorous, engaging, academic and co-curricular activities that enable students to identify and express the full range of their unique gifts and abilities.

Great news! The 2020-2021 school calendar dates have been released!

First Semester:

  • July 30-31 – New Teachers Orientation
  • August 3-7 – All Teachers Planning Week

  • August 6 – Orientation:
    • 1:00-3:00 PM – 6th Grade Student Orientation
    • 5:30 PM – Elementary Parents K4-5th
    • 6:00-7:30 PM – 7-12th New Student Meeting 
    • 6:00-7:30 PM – 7-12th New Parent Meeting
    • 7:15 PM – 6th Grade Parent Orientation

  • August 7 – Orientation:
    • 8:00-10:00 AM – Elementary “Meet the Teacher” students & parents
    • 1:00-3:00 PM – Secondary Open House/“Meet the Teachers”

  • August 10 – First Day of Class (Grades 1-12)
  • August 11 – (One more opportunity) K4/K5 to “Meet the Teachers” 
  • August 12 – First Day of Class (K4, K5)
  • October 9 – End of First Quarter
  • October 12 – Teacher Work Day
  • November 5 – Gala
  • November 23-27 – Thanksgiving Break
  • December 15 – Christmas Musical
  • December 18 – End First Semester
  • December 21- January 1 – Christmas Break

Second Semester:

  • January 4 – Teacher Work Day
  • January 5 – First Day of Second Semester
  • March 11 – End Third Quarter
  • March 12 – Teacher Work Day
  • March 22-26 – Spring Break
  • April 2 – Good Friday Holiday
  • May 15-20 – Senior Trip
  • May 21 – Baccalaureate  Rehearsal
  • May 23 – Baccalaureate
  • May 24 – Commencement
  • May 25 – Last Day Fourth Quarter
