Lakeland Christian School
One of the core values of LCS is the belief that we are partnering with parents in the Christian education of their children. We believe that mutual respect, communication and involvement by all partners is essential for success of our mission.LCS is a school. We believe that being a Christian school and being a top-flight academic institution should not be mutually exclusive. On the contrary, we take the mandate of Colossians 3:23 that calls us to strive to be the best. We provide a variety of rigorous, engaging, academic and co-curricular activities that enable students to identify and express the full range of their unique gifts and abilities.
Carter began attending LCS in 4th grade. He has been singing in choir since 4th grade and has been a member of the Chamber Ensemble since 10th grade. He has performed in 7 musicals (with leading roles in 5). He has taken piano and voice lessons, and sings (and plays guitar) with the Chapel Praise team. He was chosen for FMEA All State Choir six years in a row. Carter is a member of National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Latin Honor Society, Science Honor Society, and Tri-M Music Honor Society. He ran track in 6th grade and has played soccer since 8th grade. Carter has participated in FCA and has volunteered (for several years) at the LCS Summer Music Camp, Winshape Camp, and VBS at Lakes Church. Outside of LCS, he is involved with leading worship in the Lakes Church youth group. After graduation, Carter plans to attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, to study music with a concentration in Worship Leadership and Education.
