Lakeland Christian SchoolOne of the core values of LCS is the belief that we are partnering with parents in the Christian education of their children. We believe that mutual respect, communication and involvement by all partners is essential for success of our mission.LCS is a school. We believe that being a Christian school and being a top-flight academic institution should not be mutually exclusive. On the contrary, we take the mandate of Colossians 3:23 that calls us to strive to be the best. We provide a variety of rigorous, engaging, academic and co-curricular activities that enable students to identify and express the full range of their unique gifts and abilities.
Emily came to LCS starting in Kindergarten and has been on the Track and Field Team (winning the State Pole Vault two years in a row) and Cross Country. She is the President of the LCS Outreach Team and has been Secretary for Student Council (which she helped to reinstate). She volunteers her time to coach gymnastics, assists with the Trial Team and is in leadership at her church. She is a member of NHS, NEHS, the Science and Math Honor Societies, Law Honor Society and was on the Academic Team in 9th grade. Emily is an avid reader and has excelled in her academics; being in the top 10% of her class. Most recently, she was a National Merit Finalist and she won First Place at the Regional Science Fair. After graduation, she plans on attending Liberty University to pursue a degree in Theology and Philosophy, as her hope is to one day be a missionary (or teacher) in another country.
