Faculty Positions
General Description: Performs support and paraprofessional work assisting 3rd-5th Grade teachers with monitoring and guiding students in various instructional initiatives.
“To educate students in the light of God’s word to equip them for a lifetime of learning, leadership,

Qualifications:
- Have a high school diploma and completion of some college credit is preferred.
- Be able to maintain effective working relationships with all employees, work well withchildren, and follow directions from the classroom teacher.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher in preparing materials for lesson or activities
- Work with the teachers as a team in order to create the most effective learningenvironment.
- Assist in organizing materials in the classroom.
- Work effectively with students in a whole group or small group situation.
- Work with individual students on specific assignments and objectives.
- Perform follow-up activities in accordance with the directions given by a teacher.
- Monitor students during tests and help grade objective tests.
- Administer and score appropriate screenings and assessments, required by theprogram.
- Create and duplicate materials, as well as, perform other duties as needed forclassroom instruction.
- Provide direct instructional assistance to the teacher for no less than 75 percent ofthe workday.
- Provide supervision of the class for short periods of time, and step into lead role whenclassroom teacher is absent.

Qualifications:
The Upper School Social Studies Teacher shall:

- Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience teaching a combination of US History, Modern Western World History, Economics, and US Government. AP experience is preferable but not required.

General Description: Responsible for providing school maintenance services as needed or assigned. Assists with a variety of general maintenance activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uphold and ensure compliance of all LCS policies and procedures
- Assist in the construction, installation, moving of and maintenance of roofs, furniture, playground equipment, cabinets, shelving and miscellaneous classroom items.
- Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies required at job site.
- In addition, other duties and projects that may be required as directed by Facilities Manager.
- Use any other skills God may have given you to enhance our maintenance here at LCS.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Some knowledge of maintenance and repair work.
- Knowledge of proper safety techniques and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uphold and ensure compliance of all LCS policies and procedures
- Respond to immediate cleaning and sanitizing requirements during the school day.
- Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas daily before and after they are occupied.
- Sweep, mop and polish floors.
- Assists in the cafeteria, cleaning and emptying trash as needed.
- Keeps the building and grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lot and playground areas free from trash and litter.
- Assists in light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing HVAC filters conducting routine building inspections.
- Knows and follow all safety rules and proper procedures associated with the responsibilities of the job.

4. Must be at least 21 years of age
5. 1 + years’ experience driving a school bus (training provided for the right candidate)
6. Current, valid state of Florida Class A or B commercial Driver’s License required with airbrake knowledge test; and P (passenger) and S (school bus) endorsements required. Drivers must also pass the CDL Physical exam each calendar year
- No Type A Violations in the past five years
8. No more than three Type B Violations in the past three years
9. No more than two at-fault accidents the past three years
10. Must be reliable
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Uphold and ensure compliance of all LCS policies and procedures.
Transport students for school activities in accordance with the schools vehicle safety program in required time schedules.
Assist in promoting the safety, health, and comfort of students while on bus.
Obey all traffic laws.
Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required.
Observe and report safety hazards and bus maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager.
In addition, other duties that may be required as directed by Facilities Manager.

Knowledge of the Florida Motor Vehicle Code as applied to the operation of vehicles used in the transport of school children.

General Description: In the absence of a full time Food Service employee, the Food Service Substitute provides food service assistance and direct services to students.

- Will perform work assigned as needed that day, duties may include: serving meals to students, assisting in Ala Carte, washing dishes, overall clean up in dining area and any other duties required by Food Service Manager.

Substitute Positions
Substitute teachers play an important role at Lakeland Christian School. When a teacher is ill or away from his/her students due to a professional obligation elsewhere, it is imperative that the school make every effort to keep instruction moving forward in spite of the teacher’s absence. Substitute Teacher Applications are processed throughout the school year when there is a need to add to the current pool of available substitutes. A processing fee of $75 is required to cover the cost of background screening and drug testing, which are required for employment.
